1. Warranty Policy
Warranty periods commence from the date of actual delivery to customer and may vary from product to product. During the warranty period, if a product is deemed defective due to a manufacturing defect, Zebano will repair or replace the part(s) pursuant to the terms of this Warranty.
Zebano’s decision on all issues relating to complaints regarding defects, either of workmanship or materials, shall be final and conclusive. Any decision to repair or have part(s) replaced shall be at Zebano’s sole discretion.
Warranty coverage applies only to defects in products that are used exclusively for residential usage such as personal, family, or household purposes by the original purchaser. It does not cover rental, business, commercial, institutional, show flat, or other forms of non-residential usage.
Zebano reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
2. Brands
All In-House brands and International branded products shall have a one (1) Year Limited Warranty that warrant against manufacturing defects such as construction and mechanism.
3. Natural Variances
Products made of natural materials such as (but not limited to) rattan, wicker, teak wood, leather, feather, timber, veneers, marble, ceramic, or natural stones may demonstrate unique grains, veining, scars, markings, differing pore density, textural differences, and colour variations that differ from samples or display models. These are natural characteristics and in no manner considered or deemed to be defects.
4. Care and Maintenance
Depending on the degree of usage, fabrics will fade and crease. Fabrics, leathers, suspension components, cushioning and fillings will lose their shape and resilience over time. These are signs of ordinary wear and tear, and in no manner considered or deemed to be defects.
Zebano does not recommend nor approve the use of after-market or off-the-shelf maintenance products on different material surfaces and upholstery textile of furniture (eg. fabric, mesh, polyester, marble, wood.) and any damage, discolouration or change in appearance to the furniture due to usage of such products shall in no manner be considered or be deemed to be defects that Zebano is obliged to repair or replace under this Warranty.
5. Product Limited Warranty Exclusions
i. It excludes ordinary wear and tear or the natural characteristic of the material used, abuse, accidents – including (but not limited to) burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations, or damage from pets, and outdoor inclement weather.
- Caused by mishandling, abuse, neglect, or a malicious or deliberate act, whether by human or animal (except as previously stated), or by other agents/s, or by sunlight (including fading), lightning, fire, flood, or another natural calamity.
- From dye transfer from furniture accessories, rugs and clothing.
ii. It excludes products purchased and marked as “Display Set” or “Clearance” and designated as “AS IS‟ condition at the time of purchase.
iii. It excludes any damage caused by improper storage, lack of maintenance, inadequate use or improper cleaning.
iv. It excludes a product that is used outdoors or due to outdoor inclement weather unless specifically stated otherwise.
v. Any product repaired or replaced under this warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period only.
vi. Any product modification, change to the original specifications or any alteration made by the consumer or other parties will void this warranty.
vii. It is not transferable. If a product has been moved to another address and is not handled by our delivery partner, the warranty is not covered.
6. Order Delayed Due To Unforeseen Situations
In the event of an order delayed due to unforeseen situations (shipment, transportation, force majeure, etc.), Zebano reserves the right to reschedule the delivery. A time frame will be advised but cannot be guaranteed.
Zebano shall not be liable for any consequences or any loss suffered or expenses incurred (whether direct or indirect) due to the delay in the shipment /delivery of the goods and no such delay shall entitle the customer to treat this agreement as being repudiated by Zebano in any manner whatsoever.
7. Delivery Period
Ready stock products: Where the products are in stock, Customer must take delivery of the product within 1 month from the date of purchase.
Custom-make products: Where the products are made-to-order, Customer must take delivery of the product within 1 month from the time Zebano notifies the Customer that the product is ready.
Thereafter, storage fee of RM 500.00 per month will be imposed for if the product is not collected / delivered by the Customer, and in that event, any outstanding storage fee must be paid by the Customer before the product is delivered to the Customer.
No refund in event of non-contact ability: In the event that any product is ready for delivery and Customer is not contactable at the last known contact details provided to Zebano, and despite reasonable steps taken by Zebano to do so, Zebano reserves the right to retain or re-sell the product and the Customer shall not be entitled to a refund. Zebano’s right to retain and re-sell the product without refund, shall arise three (3) months after the expiry of the last day that the Customer is required to take delivery of the product under this clause 7.
8. Cancellation Policy
i. If Customer wants to cancel the order, a 30% cancellation fee for customised products on the total order value and 3rd party incidental expenses shall be payable. Zebano will deduct the cancellation fee and incidental expenses from the deposit placed by the customer and refund the balance to the Customer, or Customer shall pay the cancellation fee and incidental expenses (as the case may be). The cancellation fee is a reasonable estimate of the expenses, loss and damage incurred by Zebano arising from the Customer’s cancellation of a confirmed order.
If delivery has taken place, Zebano shall deduct delivery charges for delivery and to collect the cancelled order and refund the balance price to the customer.
ii. No returns, exchange or refunds are allowed for any product purchased as a Display Set, Clearance or designated as „AS IS‟ condition.
iii. Zebano reserves the right to reject any cancellation, refund deemed unfit or unreasonable.
The product/s are returned undamaged and in their original condition. Any cancellation request raised after 24 hours upon delivery cannot be accepted and such failure shall constitute a waiver of any such claim
9. Access to premises
The Customer shall ensure correct delivery address is provided at the time of placing the order and shall notify Zebano in advance if there will be difficulties accessing the Customer’s premises at the delivery address. The Customer is responsible to ensure there is adequate access and entry to the premises at the delivery address to allow for the delivery of the Goods. The Customer has to ensure that the building’s lifts, staircase or doors are able to fit in the furniture dimensions before purchasing.
If Customer do not state the situation correctly and on arrival the delivery contractor deems it to be a difficult location Customer will be liable for any extra charges including redelivery fees and the cost of an extra person to assist. Any additional costs in relation to access into Customer’s premises, eg, crane, are Customer responsibility. If it is not possible for the products to be delivered into Customer’s premises, the products will be returned to Zebano’s warehouse and Customer will be invoiced for transport and re-delivery. In addition, the above storage charges will apply.
10. Delivery
Any delivery dates given are business estimates only and the time and date of delivery shall not be of the essence and Zebano shall be under no liability for any direct or indirect loss incurred through any failure to deliver on the estimated date. Please note that once the delivery order is signed off, it is deemed that the order has been received in good order. The Customer must take care when opening the Product so as not to damage it, particularly when using any sharp instruments
It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the Products are sufficient and suitable for your purposes and meet individual requirements. Zebano do not warrant that the Products will meet the Customer’s individual requirements. The Customer’s acknowledge that the products are standard and not made bespoke to fit any particular requirements that the Customer’s may have.
11. Zebano expressly excludes liability arising from:
(a) Failure to comply with Zebano’s instructions of fitting or installation; or
(b) Use of Goods in excess of performance or load bearing specifications stated in Zebano’s catalogues, drawings or
descriptions; or
(c) Any modifications or adaption made to the Goods by the Customer or any third party; or
(d) Damages due to the negligence of the Customer; or
(e) Any defect in the Goods arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by the Customer; or
(f) Any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow Zebano’s instructions (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alternation or repair of the Goods without Zebano’s approval.
12. Non-Performance
Zebano is not responsible for any lack of operation or performance of the Goods (and any loss or damage) where they are:
(a) Used or adapted for a purpose for which they were not designed; or
(b) Combined or integrated with other products not manufactured by Zebano.
